As a Public Relations Specialist for the Fiesta Sports Foundation through the Cronkite Agency, I worked collaboratively with a team to produce a branded journalism story highlighting the 2025 Empowering Diversity Scholarship. We paired the written feature with a multimedia video to showcase the impact of the scholarship and amplify diverse voices. Our team also developed and pitched a story to Arizona media outlets about the UMB Bank Fiesta Sports Foundation Football Kickoff presented by Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. We crafted press materials tailored to local newsrooms. We secured a story on Fox 10 in Phoenix. Additionally, we created multimedia content for the Fiesta Bowl Museum in Scottsdale, capturing visuals and stories that celebrate the Bowl’s legacy. This experience strengthened my skills in strategic storytelling, media outreach and team-based content production.
For my Public Relations Writing course, I developed a comprehensive portfolio for a mock client, Angel City Football Club, a pioneering women’s soccer team in Los Angeles. My work included crafting a client brief, news release, fact sheet, backgrounder, blog post, social media mini campaign, podcast script, PSA, memo and crisis communication statement, all designed to mirror Angel City’s brand identity and community-driven mission. I focused on themes central to the club—equity, inclusion, and cultural engagement—creating strategic content that highlighted initiatives like the “Latinas Rising” program and the “Celebración de Culturas Hub.” This project strengthened my ability to produce professional-level PR materials that balance creativity, strategy, and purpose while amplifying a brand’s connection to its community.
